# ai insights

> summary, action items, topics, discussion flow, meddpicc, questions

miniti generates ai insights live during a meeting and lets you regenerate them on any saved meeting. all insights use gpt-5 mini by default.

switch modes with keyboard shortcuts:

| mode      | shortcut |
| --------- | -------- |
| standard  | `⌘1`     |
| meddpicc  | `⌘2`     |
| training  | `⌘3`     |
| questions | `⌘4`     |
| docs      | `⌘5`     |

## standard mode

best for general meetings. extracts:

* **summary** of the discussion
* **discussion flow** - chronological topics
* **action items**
* **key decisions**
* **key topics / themes**

meeting **titles** also auto-update based on the conversation content.

## meddpicc mode

best for sales discovery calls. extracts qualification criteria:

answers meeting topics from your own product docs, with source links. needs a docs mcp url. see [docs insights](/docs/features/docs-insights).

## live vs saved

* **live** - insights update continuously during recording
* **saved** - click **update**, **generate**, or **regenerate** to refresh insights, including meddpicc and questions

  if you trim a saved transcript, miniti clears the saved ai insights for that meeting. click **regenerate** to analyze the edited transcript.

## copy to markdown

every section has a `copy` button that emits clean markdown - speaker labels on transcript, checkboxes on action items, structured headings on insights. see [markdown export](/docs/features/markdown-export).

## notes

* auto-updating titles mean you don't have to name a meeting yourself. you can always rename it after saving.
* if a meeting has no transcript, insight sections will be empty.
