miniti asks for the minimum permissions it needs to record and transcribe meetings. nothing more.

macos

system audio recordingfirst recording with system audio enabledclick allow - appears under privacy & security → system audio recording (not screen recording)
you can manage both later in system settings → privacy & security.
miniti only captures audio. it does not record your screen, despite macos grouping audio permissions near screen recording settings.

system audio, explained

system audio capture lets miniti transcribe what the other side of a call is saying - zoom, google meet, teams, and other video callers. without it, miniti only hears you. to enable system audio capture:
  1. open miniti
  2. on the home screen, toggle system audio on
  3. the first time you start a recording, grant system audio recording permission when prompted

optional: google calendar

if you connect google calendar (settings → integrations → google calendar), miniti reads your events (read-only) so it can show upcoming meetings and auto-start/stop recording. it never writes to your calendar.
