managed tiers (free, pro) meter by recording wall-clock time per device. the app reports the session duration when you stop recording; the server caps it at the actual time elapsed between start and stop, and at 4 hours per session. byok is not metered by miniti. you pay deepgram and openai directly for what you use.when the counter resets
- free tier: the 1st of each calendar month at 00:00 utc
- pro tier: on your billing cycle anniversary (the day you subscribed, each month)
what counts
- recording wall-clock time from start to stop, summed across sessions in the current period
- if you pause recording and resume in the same session, only the recorded time counts
- per device. each macos or ios device has its own counter
what does not count
- viewing saved meetings
- regenerating or updating insights on a saved meeting
- generating questions for a saved meeting
- sending a meeting to attio
- firing webhooks
- using byok mode (unmetered by miniti)

when the limit is reached
recording is blocked with a clear in-app message. you can:- upgrade to pro for 5,000 minutes per month
- switch to byok for unlimited usage
- wait for the monthly reset
